The grief is so heavy
Post Body

It's been 11 weeks since mom passed, and it took a while for the grief to hit me. It's like all the bereavement time I took I should have taken later. It's like a lead weight some days, and all the progress I thought I made goes away.

When it hits, I feel completely incapacitated- I'm also the executor of her estate, settling all her bills, and selling her house. And trying to help my brother become independent after years of relying on her. I have a grief therapist and she is helping me through things, especially the trauma of being there through the illness and hospice and her death. But it is all so much to handle on top of a full time job and trying to live my life. Some days I just want to stay in bed all day and never get out.

I know they say it will get easier, but that feels a long way off.
