How to help my girlfriend grieve
Post Body

My (19M) Gf's (18f) mom (mid 40s) just got diagnosed with ROS-1 cancer about a month ago, and from what ive read this is extremely devastating. My girlfriend is quite shy and hasnt really shared any of her feelings on it, which is concerning to me as this is a big deal. Last night however, she broke down for the first time to me and I didn't really know what to say. I have never had a family member with cancer, and I need some assistance on how to let her know its ok to grieve, and how to comfort her when shes having a breakdown like last night?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance
