I’ve posted before, wife NHL stage 4 in clinical trials. She’s 67 , so insurance basically thru Medicare.
We got a call from our Health provider Accountant. They are having invoices to Medicare denied. It seems her personal files identify her as female. ( never been any doubt on that). However when Social Security established her Medicare account they checked the box as male.
So the health care provider can’t get it fixed, and needs us to correct it.
Spent hours on the phone with SSI, and getting nowhere. So tomorrow, I have to bundle her up , drive her to their office, collect all the forms and documentation, have her sit in a cold waiting room to have it corrected.
Otherwise , if it’s not fixed we can expect a 6 figure bill to arrive in the mail.
Pray for our torturous system.
