Hey Lads and Lass of Reddit.
A couple weeks ago some fine redditors mentioned myself along with /u/majorvapes when a new company popped up with an intro post. Island Fog has been floating around in here now for a couple weeks and we already have a spectacular review from the master himself and likewise, I was more than willing to post up my thoughts on this new company. I think for the value of what you're paying for and what you get is pretty fantastic,it really allows for people who do not have a huge budget to get a hold of some good tasting juice. So without further delay here are my thoughts.
Side Note I changed the review for Blueberry Trifle more than once, I actually delayed writing this because my opinion on it kept changing the more I let it sit and the more I vaped it constantly,so I wanted to give it a fair chance to develop. The final score it has now is different that what I had originally planned but with the long steep it really turned around,so if you pick this flavor up Id recommend steeping the heck out of it. It also took me a couple days to figure out and make a final call on Gallagher V2,I hope that having it labeled as V2 means that it is open for improvement and perhaps a V3!

Main Tasting Notes
I get pretty jacked up for anything blueberry. It's easily one of my favorite fruits both in vaping and food. Blueberry Pie can sometimes be seen as my second wife, but that's our secret. When I saw this one in the list of available flavors I was excited to give it a whirl. I love thick creamy flavors, especially with blueberry included in the arrangement. Ill forward, I had to let this one sit for a little bit. When I first tried it I got this weird sort of musky, horse barn aroma/flavor. I am not sure what it was coming from but that was all I was getting. So I put it in a plastic bag and hot water bathed it a bunch, ran it through an ultrasonic cleaner than let it steep in the same room I run my wood stove. After well over a week of steeping I brought it back out and there definitely was a big difference. Upon trying it again I got a nice light blueberry. Not as strong as I would prefer but it was nice, sort of like a pie filling or jam style blueberry,no floral edge whatsoever. The rest of the mix has a nice vanilla tone to it while carrying a thick and smooth mouthfeel that was quite fantastic. There is a different taste present that I am not familiar with and have not experienced before and I believe that it is a pudding of sorts,or perhaps a different style custard from the normal Capella variety. There is definitely a bit of sweetener at play here. I am left with sugary lips after the final exhale and it does linger around for a little bit. I didn't find any standout notes of the whipped cream flavor floating around in here which leads me to believe that it's job here is to support the thick creamy texture and mouthfeel. Overall, it's a pretty great flavor. I think that some of the flavors in here are more support bases than flavor notes which in the end created a really nice thick texture. I personally would love a stronger blueberry but other than that, excellent job

Main Tasting Notes
I vaped this one pretty hard for an entire day. I loaded the squonker up with it in the morning and refilled it 5 times. Why? I was so undecided on this flavor and I partially still am. It's different and somewhat confusing. I think perhaps there is just a lot going on here. Right off the get, I pick up this intensely strong vanilla bean/cake/custardy type flavor. It's really intense and it is easily the main note of the mix. I feel like I have had something with this main note taste before but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was. I find the strong vanilla kick very rich and decadent, almost too strong really. BUT, I sort of enjoy it. The sweetness really kicks hard on this one, even more so than the last one. I think that the higher sweetener does something in this flavor to turn what would normally be an impossible flavor note into something different and I am referring to the Cherry. More often than not, Cherry tastes like straight up cough syrup. Even in DIY I have never found a cherry that did not taste like it. The cherry in this flavor shows up at the start right after you pick up the vanilla cake taste. The Cherry does have that same character trait as those with a cough syrup taste but the sweetener is doing a really good job of covering it up. At times, I even got the mouthfeel of a dry powdered stick of cherry gum. This seemed to disappear as it steeped more and the cherry developed a bit further. I honestly did not pick up a strawberry note anywhere. I have had dozens of strawberry flavors and I was not able to recognize and distinguish any familiar strawberry tastes. I think the cake/vanilla deal is dominating this one so hard that it is possibly taking away from that strawberry note,or perhaps I am just taste blind to the strawberry in this mix. Overall, this is a fairly complex mix but it's so busy that I think it is stealing attention from the other flavors in the recipe. I enjoyed this for sure but I think some balancing could be achieved to allow other notes to show up.

Main Tasting Notes
The fruit is pretty strong with this one. This was probably one of my favorites from the bunch. Fruit profiles were never my go to when I first started, even in the first couple years, I did not gravitate towards them. I have always been a dessert and cream person, while I still love desserts and creams I have really been digging the fruit blends as of late, even in DIY. Fruits are fairly simple to pair up and when done correctly, it turns out pretty great. Knowing which fruits pair well together makes all the difference. Pairing fruits with mint/koolada is just meant to be in my opinion, and this is what they have done here. This might be one of the few flavors I have ever tried that I am not able to 100 percent confidently nail down specific flavor notes. The overall feel of the mix is very fruity, sometimes I get a touch of a melon tone but I don't think there is any melon present so I am not entirely sure where that is coming from. I do pick up on a pretty recognizable blackberry/raspberry tone. The taste is actually quite natural and without any candy like tones. Using the right fruits to achieve a realistic taste is key in avoiding candy tones so I can appreciate the selection of flavors here. Sometimes I swear I can taste a touch of grape in there and with the blackberry note I am finding that the two are really giving it an overall dark berry type experience. Combined in with all this is a very well balanced minty koolada. Like I said before, I think mint/menthol/koolada were born to be combined with fruit flavors. They just work so well with them and the end result is always delicious. Overall, even though I struggle to nail down the exact flavors going on here, I really liked this fruit blend. I would love to see this with some sort of flavor separation to help push forward more distinguishable flavor notes!

Requested by you ! A Strawberry shortcake Ice Cream Bar ! So Tasty !!

Fruit/Cream
Main Tasting Notes This was one I was really looking forward to. Not to beat a dead horse but strawberry flavors are crazy over done and I can understand why. Strawberry is probably one of the easiest fruits to work with, generally always tastes good and it's highly demanded! People love strawberry flavors. I went through a phase where I just could not handle strawberry anymore. They all seemed so similar and lacked any real creativity in trying to put it to different uses. Only recently in the last little while have I started really enjoying them again. My childhood is filled with memories of these little strawberry ice cream treats. As a kid I always ate either these or a little sandwich that was called a Snack and a Half(im trying desperately to recreate this in a juice flavor!)
This strawberry shortcake is all strawberry to me. I get a strong, sweet and familiar strawberry. The real deal is coated in a flipping delicious strawberry shortcake crumb coating that is what gives the ice cream bar it's signature taste. I am not finding this note anywhere in the mix. To be honest, I am not picking up and ice cream notes much at all either. This comes across as a fairly simple strawberry. Perhaps I am just unable to pick these notes out and it's my tastebuds that are at fault, as everyones experience is different. I would definitely love to see this one reworked to build on the crumb coating as I think that without it, the true experience of a strawberry shortcake bar is lost.
