So the other day I heard some people talking about how the small ankle pockets on the new-ish style cadpat pants are pointless. I know this is a fairly common belief. I for one actually find them kind of useful. In one I keep the issued sewing kit (fits perfectly) and in the other, I keep an extra set of boot bands plus a (very) small first aid pouch. Neither of the items are a hindrance/annoyance when moving about.
My question for this sub is, what do you people keep in them if anything at all? Maybe by sharing you will inspire others to give those beautiful little pockets a purpose.
Additionally, does anyone know the original reasoning behind the inclusion of these pockets? Or were they simply added because the uniform designer likes pockets?
Edit: cadpat pants
