Not sure if this will get taken down since this is NOT an r4r (not looking rn so don't message me jfc).. but I just feel like someone needs to tell y'all that there are soooo many of you giving out WAY too much REAL PERSONAL INFO to complete strangers on Reddit! In your opening messages too!!
Just FYI: you're not as hidden as you think you are just because you "don't really use SM". You are out there. You know what I need to find you most of the time?
Your first name. An idea of your occupation/field. Your city/region. A picture of your face. Time/motive
That's it. If someone is dedicated enough to find you... you will be found with just that info far too often. Any more info, especially where you went to school or if you have a niche hobby, and it becomes much easier. Do NOT give your face and your REAL first name until you've been talking for a while. Just because Michael is a common name that doesn't give you any protection! And yes, attraction is important, but you can cover just your face and show 90% of the rest of you and that's usually enough for me to have a good idea if I'm attracted or not... so unless your face is mangled, that should be enough for a STRANGER. And don't get me started on seeing your entire living room in your background ... Use photos that don't reveal anything but your body!
Patience is key and I'm speaking for myself and many other ladies ... Bad discretion is a huge red flag and instant no for me. Plus a LOT of people hate cheaters and will try to ruin your life because they think you deserve it and they're bored.
You guys should really read up on how to do this properly, because any woman with an ounce of common sense isn't going to be involved with an AP who has such shit discretion. It's your own fault if you get busted, but I'm feeling nice this morning and thought I'd give you a "come to Jesus" moment to slap some common sense into you.
Don't. Be. Stupid.
