Hi,
I've been working as CATI for SSO under StatCan since December, my contract is up March 31st and I'm hoping for a renewal.
I am a university student and every month my availability has been completely ignored when they send out my schedule, meaning I always have to email my survey manager with issues. I've repeatedly made my availability known but it seems like they never put it on file, except for the one email I sent saying I would be available full-time come mid-April which a manager said they'd put on file.
Further, it took nearly 3 months for me to be able to access CWA and see my paystubs. Turns out, I haven't been being paid my bilingual status rate as well as evening/weekend rates. I have called the client contact centre but there never seems to be someone available to take my call or they say that I am not serviced by them as I work for SSO. This is a pretty significant amount as I'm entitled to 0.41$/hr for bilingual work and 2$/hr premium pay on evenings and weekends on top of my base pay of 17.83$/hr. I've raised the issue of bilingual pay to my survey manager and am awaiting a response.
I'm extremely frustrated and I don't quite know what to do, I have not been advised who my pay admin is, and I don't know how to resolve this.
I feel pretty discouraged, there seems to be no communication between Collection Coordinators, Data Collection Managers, and Supervisors.
What should I do in my current situation? Just getting access to CWA took multiple e-mails and SRM requests. I am extremely stressed with school and now the pay scheduling issues are really getting to me. I just need some direction, I am feeling worn down not by the job itself but by the lack of communication with my superiors.
