Hello, I’m currently 67 days away from the 3 years as a term and rolling over to indeterminate as an AS-04 and just had a question regarding this. I’ve been offered a less than 4 month AS-06 acting position (the acting appointment request doesn’t specify term or indeterminate) in the same department and on the same team but wanted to make sure if I take on this acting position it doesn’t affect my rollover to indeterminate.
Everything I read on the Directive on Term Employment indicates I should be fine (3 years under same organization, no break of 60 consecutive days, haven’t been advised of the clock stopping here as of yet or position being sunset, my current term contract goes until mid-November), and I don’t fall under any of the exceptions (start date of my 3 consecutive years is after I switched from Casual to Term). Just wanting to confirm I’m understanding it all correctly.
I know nothing is guaranteed and things can suddenly change, and to keep looking for other things, but if everything stays as it is currently if I accept the acting AS-06 do I still rollover into indeterminate in May?
Thanks!
