I mentioned in the FB post that there would be a reward for several hundred dollars for its return (did not include any immunity inference or no q’s asked). So now this person claims to have somehow found the bike because “they are a nurse, and deal with homeless/thief folks regularly??”. 🤨 And somehow was able to buy it off these thieves for $300 CAD, which I suspect to be bullshit as I was told this thief was going around asking for $50 for the bike. Now this “Nurse of thieves” is demanding I pay the full $400 which I mentioned in the FB post. I only put that amount because I thought it might lure the actual thief in which case I could involve police to assist with the return of my bike, which I am starting to wonder if I am in the wrong for that and wondering if I am required to pay this “reward” in order to have my beloved bike returned to me. I honestly can’t afford to pay 300 or 400 at the moment, did I f*ck up by including that in my post? Now I am being labeled a scammer by this sus lady “nurse”. But I feel like I’m being extorted. What’s going on here and what should I do? Thanks for any input or educated opinions.!
