Healthcare waiting times are frustrating. Worker wages are abysmal. Housing affordability is having a significant impact on young Canadians, yet they continue to remain passive as the situation worsens. Food banks are overwhelmed with people.
Are Canadians too busy working insecure jobs and afraid of losing them, which is why they are not protesting? People can gather in large numbers to protest against LGBTQ issues. Then why can't they do the same for what matters the most?
Considering how few months ago Paris has chosen to protest and demand a change in the retirement age, why doesn't Canada follow suit? We have more issues to address, but we seem to tolerate them without taking action. I'm not advocating for destruction, but I encourage raising your voice, voting for better solutions, and taking action to make positive changes.
I want things to improve, and I hope they will. I don't want to leave this beautiful country.
