This isn't a joke. People make out that skyrocketing unaffordability is just a bunch of lazy people complaining. It's not that. People are becoming homeless. People are getting desperate, and desperate people are violent & dangerous. Do you really think our police force is strong enough to keep you safe if enough people lose their homes? Look at Vancouver, look at San Francisco. This CEO was stabbed to death in the streets of San Francisco. You aren't safe when you let your community forget about those in need: you're safe when everyone has a minimum level of dignity. Housing is getting to the point where you need a very strong education and job to afford anything at all. Incels who live in their parents basement at 35, they're dangerous. Guys who need money for food, they're dangerous. It's really really not worth this. Your nest egg will be worthless if you are attacked on the street. Or your son, or daughter.
