It took me around 15 mins to put them and lesser time to remove.

Okay, so one thing: the chains need to be very tightly wound or else it would scrape against the shock absorbers.

Nope, 2WD with stock tires. Although I used chains in some snowy sections. I took them off when the road was less snowy and the ride was a bit too bumpy.

It was my first time driving on such conditions and I was trying to be more careful. On snow, I was going 35-40 with chains, on ice without chains I kept it below 45. I could feel the lack of traction beyond 50 on ice.
