Howdy y’all,
I am currently on day 182 of a walk across America. So far I have walked through WA, OR, ID, UT, and am now currently in Denver, CO. I will be setting off again on September 25th after having spent almost 2 months in Denver resting and healing up before the rest of the trip.
Due to my extended hiatus in Denver, I will most likely be walking through Winter in the Midwest (IL, IN, OH, PA, WV). Although it will be difficult and I can also potentially stop somewhere to wait out the Winter, I am going to try and walk as much as possible.
As such I was seeing if you all had any advice, gear recommendations, things to consider while walking and camping in the winter/cold. Additionally if there were any good resources you could point me to that would be appreciated.
Although I have used a backpack at points in my walk, I will be using a jogging stroller for most of it to carry more supplies (not planning to push it through snowy trails lol).
Looking forward to hearing from y’all and if anyone is interested in following my walk check me out at walk2washington on IG or .com
