I recently moved to Australia and let me tell you, I am an absolute mozzie magnet. After living in tropical countries all my life, it has been proven that out of 10 people, they only ever attack me. I have black scars all over my legs as momentos from my time in Asia.
That being said, the other day 2 GIGANTIC mozzies showed up in my apartment. I honestly thought they were adult wasps. They are 50 times larger than the mozzies I have dealt with in the past. One of them was able to withstand 5-6 sprays of Mortein…it felt like a duel to the death.
All this to say, if I were to go camping in the future - am I going to die? Will my life force be drained from my body? Are there a lot of them out there in the bush and do I need to coat myself in epoxy resin or something? This is literally the only thing (besides spiders) keeping me from my dream of hiking, camping and fishing near bodies of water.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
