Hey all, I'm bringing my rescue dog camping with me for the first time at the end of the month and I've never gone camping with a dog before. Looking for recommendations for 3 items: 1) sleeping bag 2) sleeping pad 3) camping tie out stake to attach his leash too.
The tie out stake is really the most important to me to make sure it's quality. He's a medium large dog, about 47lbs.
Thanks!
All great tips. This is for car camping for now. He's not ready for a backpacking trip yet. He's short haired, but I live in Southern California (though it can still get really cold at night). I like the Zform closed cell foam pad idea. Also the hammock quilt one. Budget isn't an issue.
I bought a car camping tent, so he'll sleep in the tent with me. My backpacking tent is too small and delicate for paws/claws
Yeah, my guy uses a harness anyway, but good tip

He's got a LED glowing collar for night walks since he's black, but I like the idea of an additional light.
