Tyler walked into camp early that morning. How long had he been gone? He didn't know. The last anyone had seen of him he had been talking to Brooklyn in his room and then both were gone. She had told him that she would be back. That they would both be going to see her mother. The hours passed and she never returned. He searched the camp for her but could find her, nor had anyone else seen her. The hours turned into days and she didn't appear. He tried calling the number he had for her...no answer just a voicemail. He did the same with her mom's number and the result was the same.

After the third day he left the camp to find her. The time since he had spent alone on the road making his way to her families ranch but upon reaching it he found it abandoned as well. Reaching into his pocket he pulled a letter from it and stuck it through the mail slot. If she wanted me to know where she was she would have contacted me already. Looking around the ranch one last time for some sign...a clue to point him in the right direction. When none came he made his way back to the road, head down and made for camp once more.

He continued down the familiar path. To the front porch of the First Cohort Barracks and sat down with a long sigh. He feet and legs were tired. It would take Jupiter himself to get him up anytime soon. Opening his pack he pulled out a picture of Brooklyn he had been using to ask people if they had seen her. He let his thoughts linger only a moment and then returned the picture to his bag.
