Post Body

Hey everyone,

So some of the mods and I have noticed that a lot of the multi person threads and more importantly the quest threads seem to get a bit jumbled. This happens very easily as everyone is posting and commenting and time is fluid...oh no I have gone cross eyed.

That being said it is actually a lot easier to keep things neat and organized and as a refresher I will will show you how.

So myself, Tom, Sara and the mod who is controlling the monster are in a battle thread. We want to make sure everyone has a turn to do something and one person doesn’t take over the thread. So we first establish an order. In this case the order is as followed.

Me —> Tom—> Sara —> Mod

So once we have the order established I would post my comment. At the end of my comment I need to let Tom know it is his turn so I will tag him. For those who don’t know how to tag it is very easy. At the end of your comment you just add /u/ and the persons username. So for example if you were tagging me it would be /u/tyjames27. Now that Tom has been tagged he will type his comment and tag Sara, who in turn will comment and tag the mod.

This will create one single thread of replies without having all the different branches that will confuse everyone and make it so no one knows where to comment.

Now you make be asking. Tyler is I only tag Sara how will the mod know what is going on?

Easy peasy, they will just follow alone the thread and wait for their turn. I know it gets poopy waiting for your turn as you want to rp but the key is patience. Now if someone forgets to tag the next person or is taking awhile to reply, sending them a message as a reminder and if someone totally ghosts a thread just let a mod know and they will help get things moving.

I hope this kinda helps anyone who was getting confused with multi thread posts.

any questions ask below and stay beautiful. This community is really something and I am proud to be a part of it.
