Family: Complicated. Amanda's mother Elizabeth had her young and married her stepfather Alan when Amanda was a little kid, and the two of them had a daughter (Amanda's half sister) together, but Elizabeth died in a house fire when Amanda was nine. Alan adopted Amanda and kept raising her, but few years later, Alan remarried, and he and his wife Catherine have since had a son. Amanda tended to feel a little left out as a result of all this, even before she found out who her biological (if that word applies to gods) father is, which she didn't learn until very recently, as her mother died before Amanda was old enough to learn the truth, and Alan never knew about it.

Biological Mother: Elizabeth MacDonald, deceased when Amanda was seven.

Clothing: Amanda keeps her clothes pretty casual and comfortable, usually wearing a t shirt and jeans, with some shoes that she can run in and won't fall off her feet. She never wears open toed shoes, since when she was a kid one of her flip flops fell into an animal enclosure during a trip to the zoo. She also wears a canvas overcoat most of the time, and usually isn't bothered by how hot it gets even during the summer. Finally, she wears a pair of old fashioned, World War Two-style aviator's goggles on the top of her head, though rarely pulls them down over her eyes.

Personality

She's pretty reserved around new people, and hates any time she gets the feeling she's being deceived or taken for granted. However, once she's used to someone, she's very friendly and quick to offer her assistance. She likes spending her time outside, especially around water, as she has a very strong liking for boats, especially old sailing ships.

She has a big suitcase in her left hand, and her right grips a hatchet that she's been using to defend herself on her cross country trek. "You can do this," she says to herself. "Come on, Amanda. Just walk down the hill and accept that this is all really happening." After a few moments of indecision, she follows her own advice and starts walking.
