I commute through NYC on the daily. Pushing myself to take more pictures I started to carry my camera around wherever I go. So obviously I want to streamline my setup.
My go to became the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM EF āPancakeā. I love the lens it is crazy small and light, acceptable sharpness, cheap, and on my 5DIV itās fit is almost streamline with the body.
As I grew into my on the go setup, I found myself wanting a wide angle and a longer lens to complete my daily setup.
I started watching some vids and reading articles on pancakes but found no options wider or longer than my 40mm. Form what I have gathered a wider angle doesnāt work for EF mounts due to shear physics but what about a longer option? Somewhere in the ranger of 85mm to 135mm.
Does anyone have advice on pancake options for the Canon EF mount. Even off brand is an option at this point.
Shot in the dark as this prob gets barried but please send some love, tips, and help. I know itās coming. Go mirrorless
Cheers to shooting on the move!
