It's been decades since I've used a decent dedicated camera, but I do like to take pictures with my phone. After getting a positive response to this panorama of Pittsburgh I took with my iPhone in February, I want to do it again, but this time I want to do it with more dedicated tools and settings. I'd certainly be doing more types of photography, but if i could only take one shot, that would be the one. If I could only take two pictures, it'd be a daytime panorama of the same scene.
Just plonking down $500 on Amazon for the EOS 2000D kit would get me a camera that has more to it than my phone, but I can certainly do better even at that price point, right?
Would I be better served to look at the features needed for the type of content I want first, or set the budget first and go from there? I guess I should set a hard cap of $1,000 and go from there. Under $750 would be better. And yeah, used is fine by me.
