DECISION MAKING CRITERIA: - Price point at half a Nikon Z9, Sony a1, Canon EOS R3 - Seeking better than iPhone 14 photos & videos - If MP don’t really matter, what does…? - What has the better / larger sensor…? - What has the better AF…? - What has the better mobile app experience…? - What should I really be looking for…? - Incredible photos - Shot with AF primarily with some competency to tune / tailor settings - Shot as JPG vs RAW primarily with aspirations to grow skills to editing photos and videos in RAW - a camera that can grow with me. - Quality videos that I can pull stills from if desired - 4K 60P min / ideally 4K 120P - 6K to shoot long format interviews and crop perspectives while maintaining video quality - Not shooting sports or action shots for the most part - not seeking slow motion shots for the most part - I/O considerations to shoot up to 1.5 hour interviews with external mic, battery and storage - Video streaming compatibility helpful, but not required - Internal / external fan options as may be needed - Memory storage options best suited to uncomplicated day of street, nature, people shooting - Battery life considerations - Range of accessories considerations
