Hi; I have an old Azur 540A amplifier. It's been in near-constant use most of that time, and it's getting old: I've had to do surgery and replace a few components over the years. It recently developed a fault -- since remedied -- but eventually it'll either hit a problem I can't fix, or I'll retire it from daily use and use it as my "hobby" or project amp.
So I'm wondering: what's a reasonable modern cambridge audio replacement or upgrade?
These days, I'm usually either streaming video via the chromecast ultra in the back of my TV (youtube, netflix, other streaming services), or I'm streaming audio via an audio chromecast (tidal, bandcamp, soundcloud, local plex), and there isn't much in between. So high connectivity isn't necessary, but it's good to have options.
The CXA61 looks like more than enough for these tasks. Asking for opinions: would you aim higher (I see expensive kit with interesting streaming integrations, all new to me)? or would you aim lower (maybe the AXA25 is Good Enough)?
