How to share videos on Reddit?

How do you post a video on Reddit (hosted on Imgur) so it plays directly in the Reddit feed and doesn’t link out to Imgur? I’ve tried just adding .gifv to the end of the link but it still takes me out of Reddit...

Update: I figured it out! I did it from my desktop so I still have to play with mobile. But I opened the video on Imgur and then went directly to the image and clicked “copy link”. For some reason that was a different link than I was using but it still went to the same place. And I added “.gifv” to the end of the link when submitting to Reddit and voila it worked!
