How do I get the curse to stick?

So, I have been listening to the curse at least twice a day for about three weeks. I edged a few times, but no cum. I fell asleep to the curse a few times, and just listened on others. I did find it hard to completely fall under, my conscious mind still seemed to be there. But I carried on. Then, I just decided to see if this worked or not. It maybe took me a bit longer to orgasm, but I managed it in the end.
