So for me I have two plot holes from two of the most popular cod campaigns that bother me, one from mw2 and black ops 1.

So in mw2,none of the no Russian stuff and the Russian invasion of the USA after the fact makes any sense to me. In no Russian the intro establishes that makarov is a pretty bad guy who is known to the world for being a bad guy and a terrorist, because of this his face and Id is definitely known to both the us and Russian governments as he is a wanted man. During the airport shooting however he and his team mates do not wear any masks or anything to conceal his identity at all! All they do is use western NATO firearms to help fool the Russian government that the shooting was orchestrated by the Americans. Surely someone would have watched the security camera footage and been like “hey that guy leading the attack is a known Russian criminal maybe something is Up and the Americans aren’t behind this after All”. And then what’s up with Russias invasion afterwards? America Is a big country and all they do is harass the costal cities, no nukes just a standard military invasion of the east coast, it’s unclear what their goal was if it was to beat America into submission or launch a quick hit and run attack as revenge? Mw2 is a great game and I liked mw3 too but that really bothers me with the story.

Now with bo1 the whole having American CIA operatives launching covert missions into Russian soil bothers me, and how that doesn’t start ww3 especially during the Cold War. Like come on, you have Americans breaking into a Russian cosmodrome, killing countless troopers, and blowing up a freaking space rocket on Russian soil and that somehow doesn’t make Russia launch nukes at America? Like could you imagine if the same happened but on American soil? Still though bo1 is a great game.
