Boot advice

I'm looking for my first pair of backpacking/hunting boots in the $250-$350 range. I'm going use the boots for backpacking on Nor Cal and Central coasts and the Serria Nevada as well as hog/deer hunting in zones A and D3-7.
Looking around online and reading reviews, I think the Lowa Caminos GTX or the Zamberlan Vioz GTX would be good to try on. What other boots should I be looking at?
