Reached out via the chat option at the official DMV, asking how to report ( with my evidence mind you - video and photographic of said fake sticker ) of a car using fake/printed CAV HOV stickers.

Basically was told that there's no place to report this at the CA DMV. First I was asked to call the police - but no number/link/etc... I'm not sure who/what dept to contact and whether or not they would even know how to proceed.

Then told to call CARB. That's not right at all...

I get the sense that there's no real process in place to report fake CAV stickers. Begs the question, what exactly is keeping people from not printing their own CAV HOV stickers? I waited two months for mine, and submitted taxes/fees and paperwork. Also, in researching this - I found multiple links selling these in broad daylight.

There needs to be something done to prevent abuse. And honestly, I think that this is fairly easy to fix - so why hasn't it?
