I don't want imprisoning people to be lucrative. Incarceration should be inconvenient to the state so it is used sparingly for dangerous offenders. I voted to ban prison labor simply to prevent the government from trying to increase incarceration for financial gain. It also takes potential jobs away from non-incarcerated individuals. I don't want the equivalent of slave labor in the labor pool, driving down wages.
