Hello, my Fellow Covid-Avoidies.
My name is Tori, My Fiance and I are both DM's who are looking for some players in Calgary who are wanting to play DND (any skill level from new to fully experienced). We are currently running games online only (till covid allows us to feel comfortable meeting strangers again lol), but once we are able to play in person, we would both like to do so to meet new people and have fun.
Some background.
Me: I am currently in the process of creating a Homebrew world that will likely take me a very long time to create, and in the meantime, I am running 1shots or a few session games that will be used to add life to my main game that will be run once it's got enough world-building done. I am still new to DM'ing but it's a lot of fun so I hope to do it more.
I am also a player and def wouldn't mind helping people to learn how to DM so they can play games, and also play in other people's games.
Fiance: My Fiance is currently running a Humblewood game online in another group we are in, and is running an in-person game for their family and myself that is played every few weeks. They also like to play in games, so they would for sure play in other people's games.
Some additional info about the group we would love: My Fiance and i are both in the LGBT Community, and will do everything we can to make sure we are playing in a safe and inclusive place for everyone. So if the LGBT community makes you uncomfortable, or your a hard conservative, unfortunately, this group may not be for you.
If any of this seems interesting to you. If you looking for a group to join and meet like-minded people or just looking to learn a new game while we all wait for covid to leave us like the plague then please comment on this post. I have a discord group ready to send to anyone whos interested! I hope to see you all soon and i hope we can play in person in the near future!
I see this post is a few months old, are you still looking for players?
If so what part of the city and what days do you play?
I'm 42f, used to play Pathfinder very heavily, my husband was actually about to be published for a campaign we designed before he passed (started at beginners, ended at mythic level)
I've never played actual D&D and sadly I sold off all his 3.5 manuals shortly after moving to Calgary so don't have any. Although I don't mind online manuals (we used to use d20pfsrd) I prefer the feel of an actual book. I imagine I can pick up copies at Sentry Box or somewhere if need be.
I'd absolutely love to get back into a game (and meet some bloody people!) if you are willing to work with a complete newbie. I am very LGBTQ friendly and have many friends I've met through the lifestyle clubs.
I'd love to eventually be able to host my own board game nights with people who enjoy the long games (Lovecraft, settlers etc) if that's your scene :)
Feel free to reach out.
