Looking for a workout buddy. I work out at Goldās in Douglasdale. I usually go after work (get there between 4-4:30 pm) but would also be up for early morning workouts before work - say 5:00am. (I know most arenāt interested in getting up that early though)
Iām a 45 year old male, and wanting to get rid of the excess fat. Iām 230lbs, 5ā10ā with a 375lbs 1RM flat bench, 495lbs 1RM squat, and 315lbs 1RM deadlift. However - at 45 Iām learning to push less weight and be more strict with form as Iām more interested in functional movement than sheer beast power at this stage; plus with multiple accidents over the years I actually havenāt squatted in 2 years because of a back injury. (Now I just use the Squat press and other leg machines as well as body weight or goblet squats). I am on low dose TrT- just started and itās making me feel SOOOOO much better.
Iāve been working out since I was in my teens, even competed in a BB competition once and used to compete powerlifting and strongmanā¦but my 30ās really got me. I started up again in 2018 and got into quite good shape then covid fucked me. Since then Iāve been struggling with diet and consistency.
I know that fat loss is entirely diet - but Iād like to have a workout and accountability partner to help push me with workouts and to keep me accountable. Iāll do the same for you.
