Hi all, so I have been trying to read a bit about the difference between Shaw and Telus, and it seems there is a lot of urban myths, a lot of stuff based on the infrastructure they had years ago, so I wanted to see if I could get more up to date info :)
I am in a building where we got offered Telus at a discounted rate (60$ for 0,15g for one year) which is expiring soon. Shaw can offer me a 0,5g with a significantly better upload for 75$ per month and 25gb mobile subscriptions for me and my wife for 45$ each. Seemed like a good deal so i signed.
Then im reading somewhere that Shaw uses coax from the Box to the end-user whereas Telus uses Fiber the whole way, which gives significantly lower up and download speeds. Anyone know if there is truth to this? And are there any other differences I should be aware of?
