I am wanting to spend the winter near Calgary to take advantage of the winter sports I love so much. I am filling out the appropriate paperwork, but I can't seem to find the online resources that locals use. I'm looking for places to rent and work in carpentry or IT mainly. What resources would you guys use to research about what is available?

I'm also planning on doing a recon trip the first week of September. For the legal specifics I am pretty sure I can't interview for jobs or apply for a place to live because my visa has not yet been approved, but I can look for what is available. Any suggestions on where or what to look at would be very welcome. Thank you!
