Academic Upgrading?

Hey there,
Wondering if anyone has any experience with some of the in class academic upgrading courses offered around town?
I am currently trying to do Math 30-1 online on my own; but it's not going so well. I think I need a classroom or teacher to be able to ask questions and explain things to me.
Late 20's, full time job, but would be able to make night classes a few days a week.
Recommendations?
