If you have just a simple return (t-slips, medical bills, basic stuff) ie no income property, capital gains and losses etc, I do them, been doing them as a volunteer for many many years.

Former CRA employee, I do volunteer taxes for low income people each year, so my rate is $25 if you make under $25,000, $50 if you're over that. I'm more than willing to walk people through the process of doing it yourself with any of the free software.

I am capable of doing prior years and more complex returns on a case by case basis.

Eta: I do this for people because not everyone is confident, knows computers/internet, doesn't know how to check for possible extra deductions, etc.

Lots of people do their own, I'm open to teaching, but if you're not confident there are options :)

CRA also has volunteer tax preparers, but I'm new to the city and have no clue where they offer that here. It's usually a lineup and sit there all day waiting type deal though.
