Buying a car

Hi Everyone, (UK) I intend on buying a car and right I am between two car options and the difference is about 3k. main reason why i want it, is it because its automatic.
I am 31, I make 45 k after taxes a year and have bills with about 1.4k a month.
I am intending to pay cash.
Should i be worried if i overspend that 3 k or it doesn’t really and I will get them back?
FYI i need some other stuff to buy, like laptop. And phone this year too.
