My job laid off a ton of employees this week. Thankfully I was not one of them, but I could have been. Before finding Caleb's channel last year, I never understood the true importance of an emergency fund because I had great job security....turns out job security doesn't really exist. Maybe unless you have tenure?
Because of this channel I have been prioritizing my EF and now I have a nearly fully funded emergency fund. If I HAD been part of the eliminations, I would have been okay. That was eye opening. It can happen to anyone- job loss, pet emergencies, injury, etc. Not having an emergency fund really is an emergency. Thanks Caleb!
PS Caleb If you're ever in Columbus OH, use that Hinge ultra premium subscription to hit me up 😉😂
