Items are wrong and I don't know how to fix it or what's going on

Me and my friend are playing calamity with overhaul mod and we just got into hard mode but haven't defeated any bosses yet. My friend was farming wyverns and harpies and was getting hallowed ore and living shards from harpies. When he gave them to me they showed up as essence of sunlight. Also, chests are wrong too but everything is fine for me. What happened?
