One unit short for graduation due to change in units for a class
Post Body

So apparently my department (Computer Science) changed the amount of units that a certain core class counts as from 4 to 3 units at some point after I joined. As a result, my Degree Progress Report says that I'm 1 unit short in my major core area even though I've taken and completed every course.

Has anyone else ran into this problem with their department, CS or not, and if so, how were you able to resolve the issue? My advisor said I might need to take another elective class so they can "move" the excess units from that to cover the gap, but I really don't want to have to go through another semester so I'm hoping that it can be resolved without that if possible.
