Hi everybody! I’m a sophomore who’s currently filling out the application for study abroad to Tsukuba university in Japan. However, I’m worried that I won’t get accepted into the program because of my gpa (a little under the 3.0 they require but I read I might be able to with statements, letters of rec, etc) and because of my major, I might not even be able to take major related courses which I need. Apart from Japan, I was also looking at either London and Spain (Madrid or Seville) at backup options. The CSU IP has you fill out a backup option in case you don’t get accepted (I filled out the “My back up is a non csu ip program”). However, the cal poly abroad application says you can only apply to one study abroad program per application term. This begs the question, can I also apply to one other program like London with CIEE, if I don’t get accepted into the Tsukuba, Japan program? Or should I cut my losses and go with another program? I want to ask the study abroad office but they don’t open until winter quarter and I hear that this stuff can take awhile.
