I am very interested in transferring to slo. Applications are coming up and I just want to get an idea of if I even have a chance of getting accepted because the transfer acceptance rate is something around 16% with local cc students (like Cuesta) getting the upper hand in admittance. I am from a Bay Area cc with a 4.0 gpa while working through the school year. I would like to believe that I have a good chance but I keep reading that they turn down thousands of students with 4.0’s. I’ve used assist.com and met with my counselor many times to make sure I complete all the course requirements as a transfer. Can anybody give me an idea of my chances? Is there anything else I can do to maximize my chances of getting in?
Also, what is the transfer housing like at Slo? Do they offer housing for specifically transfers only?
EDIT: I meant OCOB not OCAB
