Hey y'all, I was wondering if I can get some help on this. I've got a song on Cakewalk made purely out of midi instruments which exports just fine on its own. But then I gain staged it and threw in some volume automation, which caused a big problem.

When exporting, my computer either crashes or gets EXTREMELY slow, I'm talking my cursor can't even move. I never let the export process finish, because it seems to be stuck; instead, I restart my computer.

After restart, I get an audio file out of Cakewalk. It is only 30 seconds long (My song is about 4 minutes long) and when I play it, it has some insane distortion and crackle, and I haven't even used a distortion plugin.

Tldr: Export destroys my computer after basic mixing and leaves me with a cut audio sample that sounds a like a haunted error message.

Please help.
