Wife has been Diamond Plus several years running. This year, a streak of bad health, a couple mediocre months at work during the peak of inflation, and cold machines on our first AC trip have kept her earnings down some. However, we were thrilled when she got an invite to a NYE party in Vegas. She called the host, and everything was all set...no "waitlist" or other typical verbiage non-7 Stars players are familiar with. We were going to make this a mini-vacay, taking my 77-year old mother with us for the three day weekend, ensuring wife would blow past Diamond (she is only a few hundred away from 15k) and possibly get the remaining 10k.

Tonight, she received a call from the host advising that while we could stay on property, they were cancelling the invite to the party. She is devastated that only four days before the event, and a day and a half from our departure, she had the evening pulled out from under her with no offer of substitutions.

So instead, we will probably save the money and go to our local property for the weekend.
