Why fold and why write on it? $20 and $10..

I get a slight fold but damn man folded into a square? The worst is why would you write on money. I’m not even on the “oh no it’s a crime”…but why..why write on it to keep track of the other money counted? Oh well. Wish cash looked like this still tbh. Oh damn forgot the 10 is a star note as well! 😂😂😂 The universe hates me I think.
