I'm expecting a phone call soon to schedule a surgery that might land in the middle/end of next semester. Although it's outpatient the recovery is at least 5 weeks and my mobility will be severely limited. I looked on the csulb website for info on medical leave, and the only option they give is dropping your classes altogether. Is there no option to continue classes remotely? I'm registered for 15 units and the thought of having to drop sounds actually awful. Is this more of a case-by-case thing and I'll just have to ask each of my professors what my options will be on the off-chance I get a surgery date during the semester?
