Although there is a College of Business competition against CSU Fullerton's business school, I believe that each program (including in other fields) could have competitions with other schools.
Also in the proximity of Long Beach are Cal State Dominguez Hills, UC Irvine, CSULA, Chapman University, Loyola Marymount University, Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA, and USC.
Already-formed competitions include Battle of the Books, Quiz Bowl, Academic Decathlon, Academic Bowl, and Moot Court.
The same could happen for U of A[rizona]'s campuses, Arizona State's campuses, NAU's campuses, Cal State campuses, UC[alifornia] campuses, Texas A&M campuses, UT[exas] campuses, U of Houston campuses, language flagships at colleges, military programs at colleges, honors programs at colleges, Maricopa County Community College District, California Community Colleges, education programs, law programs, veterinary programs, and sociology programs.
