Transfer Student Question

Hello! I’m trying to transfer to CSULB into a BFA program and I received my invitation to submit my portfolio for consideration into the BFA program. However, after talking to advisors, it seemed like the consensus was that nobody gets admitted as a transfer into BFA programs and the best I could hope for was denial from the BFA program and subsequently being referred to a related BA program. So my question is when can I expect the denial and possible referral to a BA program? Just curious so I can take stock of what my options will be.
