Transferring into cc for better admission chance

Hi! I had originally gotten into LB for fall 22 but had to decline as I couldn’t afford housing. I have been attending my local csu but would love to transfer for fall 24’. I know csu students have the lowest transfer priority, and it’s already hard to get in, so would transferring to CC for the 2023-24 school year, getting my adt, and applying for the 2024-25 school year help my chances, or is it too late to transfer since I would be applying next semester (my first semester at cc)? Thank you ❤️
