I feel like it’s starting again…
Post Body

I had a horrible flare up that lasted pretty much the entire month of April (and a little bit of March). I don’t think I went one day without pain during that time. Just 24/7 pain and swelling, unable to get more than 3 hours of sleep each night, and I was still waiting for my first pain management appointment, so I had no pain medicine (except Advil, which does nothing). I seriously felt like I was going insane by the end of it. But then things started to improve (I also started taking gabapentin, not sure if that has anything to do with it) and I had a good 3-4 weeks with almost no pain. It’s been great. But I’ve had a bit more pain over the past few days. Nothing super intense (except on Thursday because I had a doctors appointment and leaving the house always exacerbates things), but enough that I’m starting to worry. I’m trying not to stress too much because I know that makes things worse, but I’m so terrified of having another flare up that’s as bad as the last one. And for some reason pain management is refusing to give me anything other than butrans patches, which I’ve tried and they don’t seem to do anything except give me a gnarly rash. I don’t know if I can deal with another month long flare up. I’m so tired :(
