So I don't have an official diagnosis currently but my neurologist thinks it's crps. I feel like it's hard to be taken seriously in general because the area affected is my right elbow, not my hand, not my shoulder, the elbow.
So I can use my hand in limited ways, but even that will cause pain so I can't write with my right for long. I've had no luck with meds so far but I haven't been given any real pain killers, maybe in part because I don't ask because I don't enjoy being accused of seeking pain killers.
How do I explain to people that while it may not seem like it I am in real pain? Hell it feels like someone's sticking a hot needle into my bones
All I can tell the doc next time is I don't think Lyrica is working what next? It seems like pain killers are the last thing they want to prescribe
How do I get it across to doctors and people that this is real?
