Currently listening to "No Bad Parts" by ifs founder Richard Schwartz.

He does what fisher does, and presents people having conversations with their parts.

I don't get parts to respond. This is one reason I made that post (and got lots of good replies) about "Am I making this shit up"

Initially I could get some dialog by making statements and listening for resonance. This was like playing a really slow game of 20 questions, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't asking the right questions.

Now even this is fading.

Both authors seem to assume that parts will respond.

I made a similar post over on Internal family Systems. One person suggested that I have a protector blocking replies. But no advice on how to unblend with that protector. Indeed, at this point I'm beginning to think I haven't been unblended ever. But if that is so, how have I made the progress that I have done?
